BCM - RE:Orientation

RE:Orientation
No meeting on Labor Day (Monday, Sept. 6).  Our next RE:Orientation will by Monday, September 13.

It's not too late to join!

You only get to start college one time, so why not do it right?  RE:Orientation is a five-week Bible study that will let you meet other Christian freshmen, a few BCM students, and Joe and Sara Dodridge, the BCM leaders.  During the five weeks, we'll talk about making decisions in college that glorify God and start out our adult life on the right track.

The topics during the five weeks will be:
1) ME-OMETRY - wise time and money decision making
2) PHYSICAL EDUCATION - developing Christ-honoring friendships
3) HIS-STORY - encountering God on a personal level
4) PUBLIC RELATIONS - our role in the world and how to impact it
5) FUTUROLOGY - God's plan for your life

FAQs

When and where?
RE:Orientation will meet in the library on Mondays at 7:00PM.  We chose the library because it is an easy place for freshmen to find and not a very intimidating environment.  We'll meet in room 201 (2nd floor) and we'll start on August 30th.

What are we going to do?
First, you'll get to know other Christian freshmen.  You will also get to know a handful of older BCM students (it's always good to get to know Christians who already know the ins and outs of campus!).  We'll spend some time in God's word and we'll eat every time.  You'll also get the chance to learn more about BCM and the different things we do throughout the school year.

What do I need?
A Bible would be good.  Other than that, nothing!

What does it cost?
Are you kidding, the best things in college are free!

How many people will be there?
Great question - we don't know because this is the first year for RE:Orientation.  We expect about 8-12 freshmen, 3-4 older BCM students, and Joe and Sara Dodridge.

What if I can't make every meeting?
Shucks for you.  I guess you won't get free food that night.  Don't worry about it.  We hope you can come every time, but if you can't - no big deal!

Do I have to be a part of other BCM activities?
Nope, not at all.  We'd love for you to be a part of other BCM activities, including our Tuesday Night Meeting at Robert Bell room 125 (►weeklymeeting.html).  We also have other Bible studies, mission opportunities, fellowship events, and more (►getinvolved.html).

What about when the 5 weeks are over?
How sad!  We'll have other Bible studies and events for you to be a part of if you want to!

Hey, idiot, the second Monday is Labor Day.
Yeah, we know.  We'll decide as a group if we will meet on Labor Day during our first RE:Orientation on August 30th.
